Some guitar players think it will impress others if they say, "I taught myself how to play guitar". That statement might impress a few inexperienced people, but being self taught is not Something to brag about. Would you rather impress with your guitar or with an unimportant statement about your guitar playing?
It’s true that some popular guitar players were somewhat self taught, but try not to follow that strategy even if your favorite shredder was self taught. If you are sure that you can powerfully and effectively learn and train on your own, that's great. However, if you are like most , alone is hard, time-consuming, stressful, and frustrating.
There is always a specific order in which musical skills should be learned and mastered in order to Release your musical skills. Few guitar players are aware of the small things that hold them back in big ways. Because these little imperfections seem insignificant to us, we often ignore them. Remember big presents come in small boxes.
I myself, I am a self taught guitar player, but where I live in New York I have not found anybody with something to offer me. Either to Expensive or just not experienced.
When playing the guitar remember to enjoy it! If you enjoy it, everything you give will be given back X2. Dont turn a good thing into a bad thing, love your music, love your guitar, love your life, love who you are.
